Dancehall Entertainer Jahshii’s Brother Fatally Shot in Grants Pen

David Clarke, the brother of raising dancehall artist Mluleki Clarke, better known by his stage name Jahshii, was tragically shot and killed in Grants Pen, St Andrew early Saturday morning. Another unidentified man was also injured during the incident.

Authorities confirmed that the incident took place around 2:05 am. Reports suggest that David Clarke, a 29-year-old labourer, and the other victim were in Grants Pen when they were ambushed by gunmen. Clarke succumbed to his injuries, while the other man is currently receiving medical attention.

Locals spoke fondly of David, commonly referred to as Mosiah. A resident shared, “Mosiah managed his father’s shop. He was a diligent and kind young man who was loved by many. Even in the early hours, you could find him at the shop. He was not involved in any illicit activities.”

It’s worth noting that this is not the first tragedy the Clarke family has encountered recently. Earlier this year, Jahshii’s involvement was speculated in the investigation surrounding businessman Omar ‘Romie’ Wright’s death. Although the artist later turned himself into the authorities, he was subsequently released after questioning.

Moreover, in a separate incident in July, a vehicle owned by Jahshii was ambushed on Constant Spring Road, following an event celebrating the artist’s birthday. Six individuals, all part of Jahshii’s crew, were injured
