Eighteen years after making his mark in the music industry with the hit song “Lightning Flash” on the Applause riddim, dancehall artist Shane O is gearing up to release his first album.
During an interview at the Wray and Nephew Fight Nights series at the Arnett Gardens Sports Complex, where he also performed, Shane O discussed the delay in launching his first album.
“It’s all about timing. We’ve got some tracks that we want to resonate with the audience, and once that’s achieved, we’ll release the album,” he said.
Currently, two tracks from the upcoming album, “My Last” and “Breakdown”, have been introduced to the public. Speaking about “Breakdown”, Shane O mentioned that it was influenced by his personal experiences.
“That song was sent to me by Jah. It’s a situation we’ve all faced. I feel I was meant to make such a song,” he remarked.
Regarding the album’s production, Brain O, Feel Good Boss Music, and SOR are some of the talents contributing to the project.
Shane O has given us hits like “Lightning Flash”, “Partner Draw”, and another hit from the previous year.
