Los Angeles Embraces Bob Marley’s ‘One Love’ Exhibit

The interactive exhibit celebrating the life of reggae legend Bob Marley, titled “One Love Experience,” will now be open until May 21, following a four-week extension at its current venue, Ovation Hollywood, as announced by the producers on March 14. Initially set to run until April 23, the exhibit opened on January 27.

Spanning 15,000 square feet, the “One Love Experience” features several sections, including an extensive Marley archive of never-before-seen photos and memorabilia, a 2,000-square foot One Love Forest recreating Marley’s Jamaica, a cannabis garden, and a silent disco named Soul Shakedown studio. The exhibit also showcases street art by renowned artists like Mr. Brainwash, The Postman, Camoworks, and Idiotbox, and highlights the ongoing impact of Marley’s legacy through his family’s work and philanthropy.

Having debuted in London in February 2022, the exhibit spent 10 weeks at the Saatchi Gallery before moving to Toronto’s Lighthouse Immersive Artspace for a 16-week run. The Marley family and Terrapin Station Entertainment, a Sony Music division, produced the exhibit.

Jonathan Shank of Terrapin Station Entertainment expressed his enthusiasm about the extension, saying it allows more people to experience the exhibit’s positive vibes. The exhibit has attracted visitors from all over the world and all age groups, garnering praise for its immersive experience.

As the exhibit continues, new features have been introduced. On weekends, visitors can join a guided tour by reggae historian and author Roger Steffens, while One Love DJ Nights will now take place on Fridays, featuring sets by Marley’s granddaughter Sachia Päyne and Afro Funke DJs Garth Trinidad, Jeremy Sole, Glenn Red, and Francesca Harding. Additionally, a special event is planned for April 20.

Shank noted that the extension reflects the enduring power of Marley’s legacy and the overwhelmingly positive response to the exhibit, making it a natural decision to prolong its stay at Ovation Hollywood
