Morgan Heritage Lead Singer Peter ‘Peetah’ Morgan Dies at 46

Peter Anthony Morgan, the lead singer of the renowned reggae band Morgan Heritage, has passed away.

The Morgan family announced Peter’s passing, affectionately known as ‘Peetah’, through a heartfelt post on Sunday. The cause of his death was not mentioned in the announcement.

In their message, the family expressed their deep sorrow: “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Peter Anthony Morgan, the lead vocalist of Morgan Heritage, on February 25th, 2024. In these trying times, we find solace in the belief that love is our salvation. Jah, guide us.”

The family also extended their gratitude towards their fans and well-wishers for their love and support, requesting prayers and privacy as they navigate through this difficult period.

Peter was a pivotal figure in Morgan Heritage, a Grammy-winning group formed by five of Denroy Morgan’s children. Alongside Peter, the band includes Una Morgan, Roy ‘Gramps’ Morgan, Nakhamyah ‘Lukes’ Morgan, and Memmalatel ‘Mr Mojo’ Morgan, all contributing to the legacy of their father’s musical heritage.
