Tego Boss, the acclaimed music producer of Saint Kingston Music, has introduced his latest project, “Ruff Road Riddim,” which was released on April 9th. The highly anticipated riddim is poised to uplift and inspire both listeners and artists while reviving the long-lost juggling riddim style in reggae and dancehall music.
The “Ruff Road Riddim” boasts a perfect blend of reggae and dancehall, featuring an impressive lineup of established and up-and-coming acts such as Jah Vinci, Kyodi, Fully Bad, Qwella, Sanka, Dan Milli, Ras Gouldie, and Natural Vibes. Each artist’s unique style to the project creates a diverse and unforgettable listening experience.
Tego Boss, known for his work with prominent artists like Devin Di Dakta and Jah Vinci, has a history of crafting rhythm tracks that connect the present to the past. He first gained recognition with the “Street Life” rhythm, marking a significant career milestone. The producer attributes his passion for music and natural meditation to his parents’ support, allowing him to pursue his chosen career.
Working closely with recording artists to ensure their songs are written, recorded, mixed, and mastered to perfection, Tego Boss admits that he has yet to find a set process for production mode. He shared, “A lot that I do depends on feeling, whether in my home, a commercial studio space, digital software, or live musicians. I worked for several months on this juggling because I wanted the riddim and the recordings of the artists to hit the people the right way. It was a labour of love for me, so I put it out on my birthday so that it would have more meaning.”
With the release of “Ruff Road Riddim,” Tego Boss is forging a promising future in the production of juggling riddims and looks forward to making a lasting impact on the Jamaican music scene.
