New Rules Festival Getting Ready to Take Over NYC with Alkaline Leading the Charge

On September 3rd, the musical euphoria known as the New Rules Festival will be reverberating through the walls of Mount Vernon Memorial Stadium in Westchester County, New York.

The festival, which made its dazzling debut in 2017, has witnessed a steady growth, drawing over 30,000 attendees during its initial act in honor of dancehall sensation, Alkaline. Since then, it has planted its roots in New York, Florida, and even touched down in the warm sands of Jamaica.

Alkaline’s management proudly reflects on the incredible support he’s garnered over the years, highlighting the recent staging in Kingston, Jamaica, in July 2022, where he drew an audience that mirrored the most iconic dancehall gatherings in Caribbean history.

Adding to the allure this year, Alkaline, recently christened as the face of Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 2023 men’s collection, promises to deliver not just his magnetic musical vibes, but also a glimpse into chic-couture streetwear, epitomizing a harmonious melding of NYC’s iconic fashion and music scenes.

Joining Alkaline on the New York stage are heavyweight talents, including the reggae-dancehall sensation Charly Black, the riveting Cameroonian American Afrobeats artiste, Libianca, and the soca prodigy from St Vincent and Grenadines, Skinny Fabulous. Other exciting acts to keep an eye on are 1SkiMask, Tallup, Scrptiid, TopRo, and BillyB.

Kereena Beckford, Alkaline’s manager and the visionary behind the event, expressed the city’s palpable anticipation. “Labour Day weekend in NYC is about to be transformed by New Rules Festival and Alkaline’s unmatched energy. The reputation of New Era Productions’ showcases precedes itself, and we aim to elevate expectations once more. Our stage has always been about spotlighting both industry titans and budding stars, and this year is no exception.”

With such a stellar lineup and the promise of an unforgettable experience, this year’s New Rules Festival is not to be missed.
