Producer ‘Shab Don’ Scheduled for Murder Trial on November 20

Noted music producer Linval ‘Shab Don’ Thompson Jr. is slated to appear before the St James Circuit Court on November 20, alongside Tajay Clark, as they face charges for a triple homicide that has sent ripples through the entertainment community.

The duo is implicated in the tragic deaths of Chadwell Frazer (known as ‘Bomb Brain’), 27; Chamario ‘Chippy’ Calvin, 24; and Toniann ‘Too Fly’ Reid, 26. The victims were fatally shot during a birthday celebration on Marl Road in the Rose Heights area on May 25.

Thompson’s arrest, which took place in June, came as part of a focused operation led by the St Catherine South Police Division, following initial probes into various incidents.

The upcoming trial’s scheduling took place this past Thursday during a plea and case management hearing, where both defendants were subsequently remanded into custody.

Further complicating matters for Thompson, he faces an additional charge of bribery in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court. Allegedly, he attempted to bribe a police officer with $2 million to dispose of an unauthorized firearm from his vehicle before a search. Although Thompson had initially been charged with the illegal possession of the firearm and ammunition, he was acquitted of these specific charges earlier in April.
