Pioneer Jamaican music producer Bobby Digital has died at the age of 59. He succumbed to kidney illness yesterday while being treated at hospital.

He has been credited with the production of a number of reggae hits including Wicked In A Bed and Live Blanket by Shabba Ranks.

He also produced Till I'm Laid to Rest by Buju Banton, Cocoa Tea and Admiral Tibet's Serious Times, Garnet Silk's It's Growing, Black Woman and Child by Sizzla Kalanji and Don't Haffi Dread by Morgan Heritage.

Protoje Signs Label Deal With RCA Records

RCA will throw its support behind Protoje's In.Digg.Nation camp, including songbirds Sevana and Lila Iké.

While these deals are common in the American market, they are a rarity for Jamaican acts.

Dexta Daps To Spend Another Week In Jail
